Content Guidelines

NewsForce AG ("NewsForce", "us", or "our") maintains high standards for advertising content to protect our users from offensive, unlawful, infringing, or otherwise inappropriate material. These Content Guidelines (the "Guidelines") apply to advertisers submitting advertisements through our dedicated advertising portal ("Advertiser(s)", "Advertisement(s)", and the "Portal", respectively). These Guidelines form part of, and are incorporated by reference into, the Wire Portal Terms of Use.

These Guidelines apply to all Advertisements submitted through the Portal and require compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and recognized industry and ethical standards. The examples below are illustrative and non-exhaustive, and are not intended to limit the scope of the restrictions. NewsForce may, in its sole discretion, accept, reject, suspend, or remove any Advertisements that do not comply with these Guidelines.

Prohibited Content

Advertisers shall not submit or distribute any Advertisements that directly or indirectly include, promote, or relate to any of the following categories of content.

  • Illegal and Non-Standard Content: Content that violates applicable laws or fails to conform to recognized industry standards or reasonable norms.

  • Copyright-Infringing Material: Content that infringes intellectual property rights, including unauthorized use, reproduction, or distribution of copyrighted works, trademarks, or proprietary materials.
  • Weapons & Weapon Sales: Content promoting, offering, or facilitating the sale, use, or acquisition of firearms, ammunition, explosives, or related accessories.
  • Tobacco, Vapes, or Nicotine Products: Content advertising or promoting tobacco products, electronic cigarettes, vaping devices, nicotine pouches, or related products.
  • Gambling, Betting, or Online Casinos: Content promoting gambling activities, including betting platforms, crypto casinos, slot sites, sports wagering, or similar games of chance, whether onshore or offshore.
  • Adult Content or Services: Sexually explicit material or content promoting adult services, including pornography, escort services, sexual enhancement products, or fetish-related offerings.
  • Illicit Drugs & Drug Paraphernalia: Content involving illegal drugs, controlled substances, synthetic drugs, drug paraphernalia, or instructions relating to their manufacture, use, or distribution.
  • Get-Rich-Quick Schemes: Content promising guaranteed income, rapid wealth, or low-risk financial returns, including Ponzi schemes, pyramid schemes, or investment shortcuts.
  • Unverified Medical Claims or Supplements: Content making unsubstantiated health or medical claims, including miracle cures, diet pills, and other unapproved treatments.
  • Counterfeit Goods or Knockoff Products: Content offering or promoting counterfeit, replica, or imitation goods that misrepresent origin, authenticity, or brand affiliation.
  • Hate Speech, Extremism, or Incitement: Content promoting or endorsing violence, discrimination, or hostility toward individuals or groups, or supporting extremist ideologies or organizations.
  • Fraudulent or Misleading Financial Products: Content promoting deceptive or unregulated financial products, schemes, or services, including crypto "pump-and-dumps" schemes, unregistered securities, or guaranteed ROI schemes. 
  • Data Harvesting or Surveillance Tools: Content advertising or facilitating tools, software, or services designed to unlawfully collect, monitor, intercept, or exploit personal data or communications.
  • Political Smear Campaigns: Content intended to defame, harass, or mislead through personal attacks, doxxing, or unverified allegations targeting political ideologies, figures, or entities.
  • Illegal Services: Content promoting services that are unlawful or facilitate illegal activity, including document forgery, money laundering, illegal immigration, or other criminal conduct.
  • Highly Graphic or Violent Material: Content containing graphic, gory, or disturbing depictions of violence or injury, particularly where its primary intention is to shock or sensationalize.
  • Terrorism or Organized Crime Content: Content promoting, supporting, or facilitating terrorist organizations, organized crime groups, or related recruitment, propaganda, or messaging.
  • Unsafe Product Claims: Content promoting products, services, or practices that pose a risk to personal or public safety, including dangerous challenges or unverified safety claims.
  • Harassment, Defamation, or Personal Attacks: Content intended to harass, threaten, or harm the reputation of individuals or organizations, including misuse of press releases for personal disputes.
  • Unverified AI-Generated Personas or Deepfake Content: Content using synthetic media, deepfakes, or AI-generated identities to mislead, impersonate, or fabricate endorsements, statements, or affiliations.
  • Children-Targeted Marketing for Restricted Products: Content targeting minors with advertising for age-restricted, harmful, or adult products or services.
  • Crypto, Digital Assets, Token Launches, or Investment Solicitations: Content promoting cryptocurrency investments, token offerings, presales, exchanges, or schemes involving high-risk, unregistered activity, or misleading return claims.
  • Press Releases Intended to Manipulate Stock Prices: Content designed to artificially influence market prices through misleading, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated claims,  including content involving microcap or penny stocks.
  • Emergency Alerts or Public Safety Warnings: Content purporting to issue emergency notifications or public safety warnings, except where published by authorized government or emergency authorities.

Restricted Content

Unless explicitly approved in writing by NewsForce, Advertisers shall not publish or distribute any of the following content unless it complies with applicable guidelines, industry codes of conduct, relevant regulatory requirements, and any additional requirements imposed by NewsForce in its sole discretion

  • Alcohol-Related Content: Advertising alcoholic beverages, promotions, or events, often subject to age-gating and jurisdictional restrictions.

  • Legal Drugs & Drug Paraphernalia: Content related to legally permitted drugs or associated paraphernalia, including information on their use, distribution, or handling.
  • Health & Wellness Products: Content promoting medication, supplements, fitness programs, or wellness products, including claims regarding their benefits or effectiveness.
  • Contests, Sweepstakes, or Promotions: Marketing campaigns that involve prizes, entries, giveaways, or competitions designed to engage users or reward participation.
  • Financial Services & Investments: Promotions of credit, loans, or investment services that require licensing, disclosure, or regulatory compliance.
  • Political or Advocacy Content: Content related to political messaging, lobbying, or advocacy that may require disclaimers or verification.

Prohibited Practices 

Advertisers shall not, and must ensure that all Advertisements do not, engage in any of the following practices, regardless of the content being promoted:

  1. Misleading or Deceptive Claims: Making false, exaggerated, or unsubstantiated statements intended to mislead users.
  2. Omissions of Material Information: Failing to disclose information necessary for users to make informed decisions.
  3. Manipulative or Coercive Messaging: Using pressure tactics, fear, or other undue influence.
  4. Bait-and-Switch Tactics: Promoting one product or service in the Advertisement but delivering another.
  5. Fake Endorsements or Testimonials: Fabricating user reviews, celebrity endorsements, or other third-party approvals.
  6. Hidden Costs or Fees: Failing to clearly disclose additional charges, subscriptions, or obligations.
  7. Misrepresentation of Pricing or Promotions: Misleading users about discounts, limited-time offers, or product availability.
  8. Unsafe Destination Links: Directing users to websites, apps, or digital properties containing malware, viruses, or other harmful software.

These Guidelines establish a framework for adhering to industry best practices and regulatory obligations regarding content, ad formats, and placement across our services. They do not restrict us from imposing additional measures necessary to ensure a safe, compliant, and fair environment. NewsForce reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to amend or update these Guidelines from time to time, including without limitation to reflect evolving legal, regulatory, or industry standards, and may take appropriate enforcement action against any Advertiser found to be in violation, including account suspension, coordination with competent authorities, or other remedial measures as deemed appropriate.
